Scope and Contents

From the Series: Marian Rider (married name Robinson) graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley. She married Arthur Greenwood Robinson (1884-1964) in 1915. From 1915-1926 and 1929-1937, they lived Tientsin, China. Her husband was working for the Young Men's Christian Association in Tientsin (1915-1926) and later under the American Board mission in government schools in Tientsin (1929-1934). Their family owned a store in Tientsin that sold mission industrial products called "Robins' Nest Handicraft and Hobby Shop" from 1934-1937. Marian's daughter's Elizabeth Louise Robinson Stanley (Class of 1937) and Marianne Greenwood Robinson Maloney (Class of 1939) also attended Wellesley College. Marian was the Class Secretary for Wellesley College's Class of 1913, and this series includes records from her work as Secretary.
